Double bedroom in lovely house on own floor

A double room is offered in this gorgeous house in Melksham. The street is quiet but it is also in the middle of town with free on street parking and we have a parking space as well. The house is Victorian , it has been featured in lots of interiors magazines. We are looking for Lodger’s who respect our home, and who will be tidy in all communal areas. We would prefer a person who works outside of the home.

We also have a resident friendly cat, so the house is not suitable for those with animal allergies or pets of their own.

The bedroom is on the top floor with an adjacent en-suite shower room. There is also another shared bathroom in the house if you like a soak in the tub. In the bedroom there is a desk, plenty of storage and hanging space.

We are a friendly couple with busy lifestyles. Our kids have left the nest so the house seems empty and bedrooms are idle. We work in creative industries such as architecture and interiors, so you might suddenly find a bathroom has changed colour overnight... or you might never notice it!

The house itself has super fast wi-fi, washing facilities, a lovely garden, and is really central so many amenities are at hand: restaurants, cafes, banks, supermarkets, a swimming pool, gym etc. We don’t mind smokers if they use the garden where we have an outside area suitable with lights.

Melksham has a train station, as well as regular bus routes to Bath, Chippenham, Frome and Devizes. By car it is 15-20 minutes drive to junction 17 of the M4, so commutable to Bristol and Swindon easily, plus Bath is 20-25 minutes away as well. Surrounding the town are lovely villages like Lacock.

Rent include bills and council tax.
