Hello potential new flatmate !
We are Kirsten and Lorena. We live in a cosy flat between Brixton and Stockwell Road (good for buses) and their respective Stations (good for tubes). The neighbourhood is safe and generally quiet. The available rooms both overlook a lovely graffiti park. The flat has been between the flatmates for over a decade now (although neither of us have been here that long!) We are looking for two new flatmates and would love to continue to make this house a home!
The kitchen is clean, and has plenty of storage space, with natural light and - of course - loads of plants. It has a dining table to eat at or hangout at. It’s already stocked with appliances for us all. The toilet and bath/shower are separate, which we've found handy. There is a balcony but only accessible through Lorena’s room though she is always welcoming and happy to share.
The available rooms are both doubles, with a surprising amount of storage space available! The room is clean, undamaged, and yours to customise! Rent is around £700 a month (still finalising this with the landlord but wont be over!) including all bills.
Lorena is 26 and works as a Digital Marketing Analyst. She enjoys live music, fashion, nature, travelling, art, going to the gym and the occasional night out. She loves to have fun but also chilling and is a certified girls girl.
Kirsten loves trashy tv and Taylor Swift music. Originally from Scotland you’ll hear her complain about the state of London’s tap water most days. An ex bookseller she has more books than she knows what to do with and currently works as literary assistant. She loves a bargain!
You:
We are looking for someone who wants to become part of our little home here at Crowhurst House. We naturally like living in a clean/tidy space. Each of us tidies up any mess we make as we go and we additionally have a weekly cleaning rota, so you’d clean once a month. The group chat tends to have general chit chat, and if any problems do arise we are really open with each other. We’re friendly but we also respect each other’s space and schedules. We enjoy doing flat activities, we have a cute park near us where we like to go for picnics and we will often split a bottle of wine between us!
NOTE: the rooms are small, and so is the flat. We’re very happy here, the location is amazing, and as you can see, the rent is cheap. You can make it your own space. However - that cosiness means it would realistically be tricky for someone who regularly WFH. We do not have a lounge and from experience the dining table isn’t the easiest to work from all day.
In short, we know it’s important to find someone who will click with us on both personal and practical levels, to make this flat a home for us all. <33
