Bright double room in calm hackney flat

Our lovely flatmate Jane is moving out in May and we're looking for someone to take her place!

The flat: spacious characterful flat in hackney central/homerton. Less than 10min walk to hackney central. Large windows and tall ceilings so the flat is bright and spacious. Nice living room with plants which is peaceful to read in or do some admin etc. £630 (!) is great value for the location. Bills normally come to around £150.

Nearby: loads of pubs, bars and breweries nearby. Big Tesco only 5 mins walk.

We share cleaning duties and respect each other’s space. We catch up in the kitchen passing by and have occasionally gone out for drinks but generally stick to our own busy lives.

Us: Michael (31) is a part-time physiotherapist and part-time chef-baker who works at a bakery in Walthamstow. Likes cooking, sometimes goes to the gym (must stress: is not a gym bro). He also sometimes has his family dog to stay who is a chilled 12yo who loves walks and attention. Is passionate about animal rights and mental health.

Horacio (46) is a keen musician, yogi, cyclist and is busy making a vegan empanada company work! Hori is very friendly and enjoys reading and socialising with his friends.

You: both Horacio and I are vegan so please only apply if you’re at least vegetarian or happy to eat veggie/vegan at home. We are looking for someone who is clean, tidy, friendly and eco-conscious. This isn’t a party flat and we don’t play loud music or make a lot of noise at night. So ideally we’re seeking someone who has their own hobbies and life but is also a friendly presence in the flat. If you’re dog-friendly that’s a bonus for when Michael’s family dog stays (but this isn’t often).
