Cosy room in friendly, quiet house share – Forest Gate, available from 27 April

Hi Londoners!

We’re looking for a new housemate to join our easy-going, international group in a lovely terraced house in Forest Gate.

The house:
• Bright and spacious communal areas, including a large living room, a private back garden, and plenty of storage.
• One full bathroom + a separate second toilet (great when the house is full!).
• On-street parking available.
• Super location: just 5 minutes’ walk to Forest Gate station (Elizabeth line / Overground). Stratford and the Olympic Park are only 2 quick stops away.
Nature on your doorstep:
• 5 minutes’ walk to Manor Park and the southern edge of Epping Forest — a huge ancient woodland with ponds, trails, and open spaces where you can walk for hours and feel miles from the city.

The people: We’re a small group of young professionals (early 20s to mid-30s) from Ireland, England, and Germany. Everyone is friendly and respectful — it’s a quiet house where people value their own space and downtime. We keep the place tidy with a simple rotating cleaning schedule for the communal areas (each person cleans once every 4/5 weeks, so the house stays fresh without anyone being overburdened).

Bills:
• Council tax and high-speed BT fibre broadband included.
• Other utilities (gas, electricity, water) shared equally.

A couple of honest notes:
• The garden photos in the listing are from a few years ago — it’s still a nice usable space, but it doesn’t look quite as lush now.
• We’ll arrange to have the room repainted before the new tenant moves in (we’ll coordinate timing with the current occupant to keep any disruption to a minimum).
