Hi!

We have a room available in our beloved household of nine humans (and two felines, Lemon & Leaflet). We are looking for a new flatmate who wants to join us. Ideally someone with a creative practice and a real feel for communal living.

We cook together, share good chats, and value quiet time and independence in equal measure. Living here means being a participant, not just a tenant: everyone takes ownership of keeping the place clean, tidy and cosy, attends our monthly house meetings, contributes to the kitty, and helps look after our shared spaces. The house thrives because everyone shows up, not only for the fun stuff. We have interests and activities ranging from pickling, saunaing, playing synthesiser, watching films, climbing, pole dancing (and regular dancing too!). We occasionally host parties, from live music to electronic nights. We also host a monthly life drawing event called Hacknakey (@hacknakey).

Our warehouse features two floors: upstairs, a communal kitchen and living room and on the ground floor our creative workshop and event space with a climbing wall. We also have a nice little garden outside with flower and veggies, sitting area and BBQ. We love our house and take good care of it, so we love someone with skills and initiative to make it even better!

Location is brilliant: Hackney Marshes is a 5 minute walk away (perfect for sunny days), and Clapton station is 10 minutes on foot.
