The house is located in the Nash Mills area of Hemel, 10-15mins walk from Apsley Marina (canal and Paper Mill pub), 15-20mins walk from Apsley Station and close to several local bus stops and the M1 and M25 by car. Warner Brothers Leavesden, Bovingdon Airfield/ TV Studios and Langleybury Studios are all between a 10-15 minute drive.
There are a range of small shops within 5-15 minutes walk and Jarman Park (cinema, tesco extra, gym, restaurants) is a 5 minute drive. There are unallocated parking bays and plenty of parking on the road near the property.
The bedroom available was advertised as the master bedroom for the house, as it has an ensuite shower room. There is also a family bathroom upstairs and an additional separate toilet downstairs. The property has a lovely light and airy kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. It also has a large lounge-diner. There is Virgin WiFi throughout the house.
I am a primary school teacher, so tend to be pretty busy in the week. I go out to exercise a couple of evenings, and often work in the the box bedroom (my study) on the others. This means you'd have the run of the lounge-diner to yourself for part of each evening. I've shared with people on and off for the past 11 years so am quite laid back as long as you are tidy and respectful. My previous long term lodgers have stayed for nearly 5 years and 2 years. I have also had shorter term lodgers working at the film studios. I appreciate my own space, but am equally happy sharing a drink and occasional meal.
