Your bedroom

We are looking for someone to rent our spare room in our family home.

The room
A spacious, light double room with en suite on its own floor at the top of the house. Neutrally decorated with lovely views across the rooftops! Newly built in summer 2022, it has its own broadband hub, modern amenities in the en suite, and is furnished with a bed, bedside table, lamp, wardrobe with shelves, chair and desk.

The location
Emery Street is a quiet no-through road off Mill Road and we think the best place to live in Cambridge! The bustling restaurants and shops of Mill Road are just one minute away, but at our end of the street we mostly just hear birdsong from the wildlife haven that is Mill Road Cemetery, which is at the end of the road. It’s a beautiful tranquil spot right in the heart of the city, and something of a hidden gem. Cambridge station and the city centre are just 15 minutes' walk away, and Anglia Ruskin campus is less than 5 minutes.

Your housemates
You’ll be sharing the house with our family: we are professionals in our early 40s, and our two lovely and lively boys are 8 and 4. We’re a vegan/veggie household and are ideally looking for someone who won’t eat meat in the house.

The deal
We’re looking for someone who likes children and will enjoy hanging out with us sometimes as a family, but who also has their own life. You’ll have privacy and peace in your room as its on its own at the top of the house. The living room, kitchen, dining room, utility room (washing machine included) and garden will all be shared. We’d love to find someone who’d like to cook and eat with us sometimes, play with the boys sometimes, and occasionally join us to watch a film or play a board game in the evening.
