American scientist working here for another year

Hello!

I moved here from the States just over a year ago for an opportunity to work at Rothamsted Research. They arranged accommodation for me initially, but it's coming to an end in early May. Also, I hate the suburbs and need to live in London!

I was born and raised in San Francisco — in the city itself — and I’m only happy living in multicultural, vibrant cities. I lived in multiple group houses in DC, where i’ve lived for the past many years up until moving here. I did not work in politics, though — I was primarily teaching math to teenagers:)

I have two sweet, well behaved female cats aged 3 and 6. Charlie is particularly friendly and would like to live with more humans. I take ballet class at pineapple three times per week and commute into work 3 days per week. I would work remotely the other two days, but probably from a cafe as I like to keep work and home seperate. I'm out and about a lot; I have a handful of good friends in London. At home, I'm pretty quiet -- I like to read , watch baseball, and garden to recharge. I go to bed on the early side. I’m not a naturally tidy person but I make an effort in common areas.

I’m looking to live with kind people in a beautiful space where I can reliably get a good nights sleep and my cats are happy and safe :)
