Searching for a Long-Term Let in Manchester!

Hi there! My name’s Charlotte (or Arlo to friends). I’m currently based in Edinburgh and will be moving to Manchester in October 2026 to start a full-time banking role in the centre. I’m looking for a long-term let (ideally a year or more) and hoping to find a room in a friendly, relaxed flat where I can properly feel at home.

I’m keen to live somewhere cozy and calm rather than party-heavy, with good transport links into the city centre, ideally close to a Metrolink stop or other reliable public transport. My budget is £600–£800 per month including bills, though I’d of course prefer to be towards the lower end if possible. I will be working from home two days a week in my new role, so would need a room spacious enough for a desk to be included, or to live with someone who doesn’t mind me working in common areas from 9-5.

I’m tidy, considerate, and easy to live with, and I’m very respectful of shared spaces. Outside of work, I love hiking, spontaneous little adventures, live music gigs, and the occasional club night, but I don’t often host parties and value a peaceful home to come back to. I also spend quite a lot of my time doing dance (ballet and contemporary), so will be looking to continue that when I move to Manchester. I’m sociable and enjoy chatting or shared dinners, but I’m equally happy giving everyone their space.

I don’t smoke, don’t have pets (though I love animals if you do), and I’m happy to provide references if needed. I’ll mostly be working from the office, so I’m looking for a place that feels comfortable and settled for evenings and weekends.
