Dutch, 27-year old veterinarian

Hi there!

My name is Merel, I’m a 27 year old veterinarian. I studied in Ghent, worked in Hampshire for a year, and then worked at the university in Munich for the past year. On the 15th of June, I'll be starting my job as an emergency vet in a clinic in Cambridge. Therefore, I’m looking for a place to stay starting from the beginning of June, for at least 12 months.

I’ll have a pretty busy schedule at work, but in my free time I love going out to explore the city (/country), get some dinner or drinks, or just to chill at home. I’m definitely looking to make new friends, so I am hoping to get along with my flatmates and hang out together every now and again.

I love travelling the world, but I also love coming home to my friends and family. I’m looking forward to spending the year abroad and I’m excited to make the most of it.

As far as the accommodation I’m looking for is concerned, I'd prefer to move into an already furnished room. I don’t mind sharing a bathroom, kitchen and/or living room. I do own a cat, though she will be staying behind with my boyfriend back in Germany for at least the first couple of months, I would love to bring her with me to England eventually. She's such a cuddlebug and very well trained (she knows lots of tricks!). She's great friends with my current housemates, but will keep her distance in case someone doesn't want to interact with her.
